Warriors Battle Heat at Huston Invitational

Waverly, IA -- The Indian Hills women's cross country team had four runners take part in the Dan Huston Invitational, hosted by Wartburg College, on Saturday. The race was run with temperatures in the 80s which made it a very challenging 6K course for the women, according to IHCC coach Jim Streeby.

Sarah Lindemulder led the IHCC runners across the line with a time of 31:38. Susana Merrick was next in 34:10. Katie Harper came in third for IHCC in 36:40 and Astred Ambriz ran 37:31.

There were over 320 finishers in the women's race.

The Indian Hills women will now have nearly three weeks to prepare for the Super Regionals in Council Bluffs on Oct. 29.
