The race was run with temperatures in the 80s which made it a very challenging 6K course for the women, according to IHCC coach Jim Streeby.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sarah Lindemulder led the IHCC runners across the line with a time of 31:38.  Susana Merrick was next in 34:10. Lindemulder's time was 23:02 for the 5K race.  It was the 4th meet in a row that the sophomore turned in the top time for the IHCC women.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;According to coach Jim Streeby, Katie Harper, a freshman from Ollie, has been working hard and increasing her mileage each week.  That hard work paid off for Harper whose time in this meet was 1:43 faster than in her first 5k race to start the season. It was a 6K race for the women at the Oakland Acres Golf Course, the first time for IHCC's three freshmen to run that distance.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sarah Lindemulder once again paced Indian Hills.  Lindemulder, who was battling an illness ran 30:27.  Susana Merrick was next for IHCC with a time of 34:33. The meet was run in hot, muggy conditions over a 5K course hosted by Iowa Western Community College.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Sophomore Sarah Lindemulder led the IHCC women with a 23rd-place finish in a time of 25:48. The Warriors men’s and women’s squads ended the fall campaign at the NJCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Peoria, Illinois.&lt;br /&gt;Indian Hills sophomores Rachel Bronson and Brittany Lawson both had their best-ever times in closing out their IHCC careers. &lt;br /&gt;Bronson’s time for the women’s 5K race was 23:09, almost two-and-a-half minutes faster than her previous best time this year and four minutes better than her time at the national championship last year.&lt;br /&gt;Lawson ran 23:41 which was 1:27 better than her fastest time this year and over two minutes better than her time when she started her career.&lt;br /&gt;IHCC coach Jim Streeby said, “These two sophomores are what Indian Hills is all about – small town Iowa girls, working hard to survive academically and financially while trying to become better runners.  They are first-class ladies and lots of fun to have around.  It has been my pleasure to get to know them and I will miss them a lot.”&lt;br /&gt;The other IHCC women’s runner to take part in the meet was freshman Sarah Lindemulder who just missed her best time of the year. It was a 6K course at Oakland Acres with over 200 women's runners competing.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The top finish for the IHCC women was turned in by freshman Sara Lindemulder with a time of 26:56, good for 102nd place. Her time was 21:33.   She was followed by a pair of Indian Hills sophomores -- Brittany Lawson was 92nd (25:08) and Rachel Bronson 93rd (25:35).&lt;br /&gt;New coach Jim Streeby said, "We have a lot of work to do, but they have a great attitude and are a fun bunch to work with."&lt;br /&gt;The field for the meet at Pella included six four-year schools and four two-year schools.&lt;br /&gt;Next up for the Warriors is the Les Duke Invitational at Grinnell on Sept. 12.
